September 9 – November 17
This exhibition focuses on western culture’s tendencies toward commercial, cultural, and political colonialism. Featured work orbits
around notions of the Old West’s Manifest Destiny mentality, the cultural cross-pollination that results from colonialism, the mythologizing and
fictionalizing of western history, and the global proliferation of commercial products from the West, Participating artists include Philip Kwame Apagya
(Ghana), Amy Chan (Richmond, VA), Luis Gispert (NYC, NY), Patti Hallock (Denver, CO), Danny Ledonne (Denver, CO), and Louise Noguchi (Toronto).
Young Moderns
December 14 – February 9
There is a movement within contemporary painting practice that dissects and continues the trajectory of late Modernist painting. Young Moderns
will highlight a few emerging artists whose practice deals with the recent history of Modernism, where that deposited painting, and where that leads
them: Sarah Braman (NYC), Todd Chilton(Chicago), and John McEnroe (Denver).
Dario Solman: The Heart of Perspective
February 22 – April 12
Dario Solman is a Croatian artist living and working in New York City. Following his cube-like protagonists through urban landscapes and distopian
situations, his animations and drawings explore “perspective” as opinion, narrative, and artistic tool.
