The College of Education Extended Studies Program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs provides various high-quality undergraduate and graduate courses for traditional and non-traditional students. This program also provides an outreach effort for Colorado residents who request workshops, seminars, course, and professional development experiences for undergraduate and graduate students, credit or non-credit. Extended Studies includes instruction of all types delivered off-campus. Instruction may be offered at off-campus locations or at other institution�s campuses; delivered to students via mail and print material or electronic media including e-learning, Internet, E-college, email, television, satellite, or other technology media; or provided in collaboration with other institutions, agencies, or organizations.

The College of Education at UCCS, led by Dean La Vonne Neal, would like to invite you to a K-12 symposium developed for local teachers, counselors, and administrators. Come for the whole day or a half-day and interact with national experts in the areas of culturally responsive teaching & counseling. Speakers will share instructional strategies and currcula specifically designed to meet the needs of all students, particularly students from diverse cultural backgrounds, students receiving special education services, and students of color. Attendence is FREE if no credit is desired.
