FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

Most Extended Studies courses are not approved for Financial Aid through UCCS. In these cases, credit hours taken by a full-time UCCS student will not count toward that student's load on campus. For a full-time UCCS student, a reduction in load could result in a reduced financial aid award. Please contact a financial aid counselor before enrolling if you have any questions.

In some cases, a surplus in financial aid monies may be applied to Extended Studies tuition. However, financial aid monies may not be applied to non-credit offerings such as GRE or LSAT Prep courses.

If, after consulting with a financial aid counselor, you have determined that you are able to use your financial aid to pay your Extended Studies tuition, you must notify Pamela Mead Krull in the Bursar's Office at (719) 262-3391 of your intention to use financial aid funds immediately after registering for your course.

For more information on Financial Aid as it applies to Extended Studies programs, view the information at the Financial Aid for Extended Studies Programs page at the Financial Aid & Student Employment web site. This page also includes information on Alternative School Loans.
