Parking on The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) campus is
limited and in great demand. While the University does all it can to provide
adequate parking, limited space, increasing enrollment and new facility construction
often make parking a challenge.
Our responsibility is to help to provide and maintain a safe and secure environment
where academic pursuits may flourish in accordance with the established goals
of UCCS. This goal is accomplished by providing parking to the community through
the management and maintenance of parking facilities and providing safe transport
of our most important resource (people) from far parking lots to campus.
Parking regulations help to ensure there is an orderly system in place for
all who operates or parks a vehicle on campus. The regulations also ensure
that emergency vehicles and equipment have immediate access to all campus
locations. Voluntary compliance is encouraged; however, individuals who show
disregard for UCCS regulations will receive appropriate citations.
Valid permits are required to park on campus. The ticketing times for permit-related violations are: Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. while school is in session. Permits are NOT required on week-ends, interim periods, or holidays when the campus is closed. All other violations are enforced 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
UCCS also operates the Mountain Lion shuttles from the 4 Diamonds Sports
Complex and the Internal Circulator shuttles from Alpine Village to University
Hall during the fall and spring semesters. All of our shuttles operate on
bio-diesel fuel, are equipped for wheelchair access, and have bike racks.
These shuttle services are provided to all University students, faculty, staff,
and visitors free of charge, and serve most major campus buildings. Both the
4 Diamonds shuttle and the Internal Circulator operate from 7:05 a.m. until
10:35 p.m. Monday through Friday and run on a 10-15 minute schedule.
