For most parking lots, A VALID PERMIT MUST BE DISPLAYED ON YOUR VEHICLE BY THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES, August 24, 2009. There is NO "grace period." Tickets WILL be written for violations the first day of the semester. Please read the following information regarding parking options. Owning a permit, without displaying the permit, will result in a ticket. Permits sold are valid for the Fall semester only and will expire December 19, 2009 (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
Cars violating parking regulations will be subject to ticket and/or immobilization. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchasing a permit gives you the privilege to park in certain parking lots on campus. YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING A RESERVED PARKING SPACE. Students should direct all inquiries concerning parking/traffic to Parking & Transportation Services at 719-255-3528.
(Valid in Lots 1, 3, 4, 6-8, 13, A-D, F, N, and levels 1, 2, and 4 of the Parking Garage). This permit is available ONLY for those who commute to campus. Requires on-line registration. Academic Year HUB permits are also available.
(Valid in Lot N, 3955 Cragwood Road; valid in ALL HUB parking lots after 4:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday and all day on Fridays). Does not require on-line registration but may be purchased on-line. The time restrictions for this permit will be strictly enforced. Lot N permits are sold on a first come, first served basis.
(Valid in HUB permit areas on Fridays only). Does not require registration.
Valid in designated Motorcycle Parking. Motorcycles MAY NOT BE PARKED IN REGULAR SPACES, except in visitor parking on the third level of the parking garage. Individuals purchasing a HUB or Lot N Permit may receive one motorcycle permit at no cost while supplies last.
Students driving to campus who do not wish to purchase a parking permit may park at the Four Diamonds Sports Complex, 5025 North Nevada Avenue. No permit is required to park at 4 Diamonds. Overnight parking (12 a.m. - 6 a.m.) at the Four Diamonds Sports Complex is prohibited.
All students are automatically charged a Safety and Transportation fee. This fee is not a parking fee and is not used for parking-related improvements. This fee is used to provide enhanced police and shuttle services for the UCCS community. The Safety and Transportation fee is billed directly to the student's account.
Service from the Four Diamonds Sports Complex is serviced by Mountain Lion shuttles. These shuttles run fall and spring semesters from 7:05 a.m. to 10:35 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you plan to park at the Four Diamonds, please see the schedule and anticipate arriving 30 minutes prior to the start of your first class.
University Hall and Alpine Village Internal Circulators: For detailed information on service to University Hall and Alpine Village, see the online schedule.
All permit costs must be paid at the time the permit is picked up and cannot be billed to the student's account. Parking Services accepts checks, cash, Mastercard and VISA. Students may also elect to have their permit mailed to their home via regular mail by purchasing their permit on-line and agreeing to pay a $4.00 shipping and handling charge.
